The eyes indeed are a window to the soul. There is such an intimacy and truth revealed in the eyes and the face. I have often mused on how being photographed is a sharing of essence or soul.
The whole spectrum of human experience may be seen & felt in some portraits.
Now and then there is a photograph that I see which really does feel like a transmission of heart and soul. An instant made visible of not only being seen through the camera lens, but also a choice to join in the connection of the moment. I am deeply inspired when I see and feel this.
